What follows is a quick overview of the presentation and functionality of the tool. This doesn’t contain guidance on how to use it, or technical details, but we do recommend giving this at least a once-over before using Expression Editor the first time, or diving into the workflow section. It also constitutes a reference, and the easiest place to look for differences across version updates.
Integrated, Single Point of Access
All the scene-state functionality is accessible from a single window, from setting the editing mode, to inspection and selection, to export.
The tool is split into three common editing operations that can be performed, and it’s laid out in the common order of execution of those operations. These editing options and the corresponding configuration of the scene state are referred to as Editing Modes. There are three editing modes: Neutral Pose, Skin Weights, and Expression Poses.
Additionally, the tool has a home screen for some file operations, and mode of operation selection.
