MetaHuman Face Mesh
You may scan a person to begin the creation of a Metahuman. Your scan is never uploaded to the MetaHuman cloud service. It's only stored locally on your machine and is not made available to Epic Games.
The generated data about facial features based on the scan (a “Face Mesh”) will be uploaded to the MetaHuman cloud service where it is processed by Epic to create your MetaHuman character. Epic does not retain the Face Mesh after it is processed. Epic does not use the Face Mesh to identify you, or the subject of your scans if that is not you. We use safeguards to protect the Face Mesh from unauthorized access, use, loss, or disclosure.
The MetaHuman character you create is only stored locally on your machine, Epic does not process or store any copies of that character.

The Audio to Animation and Realtime Animation features leverage AI models built into the tools that process your voice directly on your device to output animation. Your voice stays local and is never sent to Epic or uploaded to the cloud.
