Create a MetaHuman Listing
The process to create a listing for MetaHuman-compatible assets follows the standard Fab process, with a few differences. For a detailed guide on creating a new listing, see the Fab Publishing Assets for Sale documentation.
To create a listing, follow these steps:
From the top navigation on Fab, click Publish.
Click Create new listing, and choose an appropriate product type.
Fill in the remaining fields.
Click Add new format, and select MetaHuman.
Upload the MetaHuman Package file (
.mhpkg) that was created by the MetaHuman Manager.Complete the Technical Details. Fab imports the technical details from the package file where possible. You are only able to publish the MetaHuman format for Unreal Engine 5.6 and onwards.
Optionally, add other assets to the listing (like Maya source files or additional textures) using the Additional Files format.
A listing can include multiple MetaHuman Packages files (known as a pack on Fab). You must add the first package using the MetaHuman format. You can add additional packages using the Additional Files format.
Continue through the standard Fab listing and moderation process before publishing.
Additional Notes
You can upload multiple MetaHuman Package files to the listing for a Character Assembly product as Cinematic or Optimized variants. The listing for other types of product only accepts a single MetaHuman Package file.
The NoAI tag is required for all listings of MetaHuman compatible content. It is applied automatically to these listings.
Assets containing MetaHuman-compatible content may not be distributed under the CC BY 4.0 license. This license option is disabled for these listings.
To help buyers find your MetaHuman assets you can add tags to your listing. To learn more recommendations for filling out your listing, see the Publishing Assets for Sale - Product Details.
