Use the Sculpt tool to make fine adjustments to a smaller area of your character’s face.
The Sculpt controls are found by navigating to the Head > Sculpt panel.
How It Works
The viewport will automatically display a series of sculpting markers on your character.
Click and drag any of the available sculpting markers to change that marker’s influence over the facial feature it controls.
To add custom markers, press Ctrl and click on the body where you want a marker to be placed. To remove them, press Ctrl and click the marker to be removed.
Each marker influences a limited, specific area, but the influence areas of some markers can overlap. For example, the area around the eyes has two markers under the brow ridge and another four that handle the top eyelid, bottom eyelid, and inner and outer canthus of the eye respectively. All of these markers can influence the eye’s size and position.
The underlying system that drives MetaHuman sculpting intelligently finds the closest combination of facial features of real humans that have been scanned into the MetaHuman database and approximates what is being sculpted. As new real-world human scans are added to the MetaHuman database, the expressive power of the MetaHuman Creator and its assets will continue to grow.
By default, these changes are symmetrical. To make non-symmetrical changes, uncheck the box next to Symmetric Manipulation.
Enabling Symmetric Manipulation on asymmetric facial features will cause some essence of the asymmetry to be retained in regions where the sculpting marker is subsequently used to change the sculpt.
