With the scenes you design in Twinmotion, you can create and export high-quality photorealistic images, panoramas, videos, and keyframed animation sequences.
Before you export the media you create, you can enhance it further and set the mood of your scene with the following environment, camera, rendering, and special effects settings located in the Ambience panel.
Environment: Fine-tune the lighting, design the natural environment (such as sun, sky, clouds, night sky, weather, and wind effects), use the predesigned environment presets, or modify them and save them as your own custom presets.
Camera: Apply real-world camera effects (such as exposure, depth of field, and various lens settings), enable filmback settings, add blooms and flares, include custom backplates to integrate your scene into a real-world context, and design with composition overlays.
Rendering: Choose the rendering mode most suited to your real-time rendering needs, hardware performance capabilities, and photorealism needs: Standard, Lumen, or Path tracer.
Special effects: Refine the overall contrast, saturation, clarity, and sharpness, add a clay rendering effect, apply predefined or custom color grading, as well as advanced post-process effects.
To show the different stages of a project and display the progression over a period of time, or show multiple versions of the same project to compare variations, create phasings and View sets and apply them to the media you create. You can apply phasings to videos and sequences, and View sets to images, panoramas, video keyframes and parts, and sequence keyframes.
Use configurations to create real-time 3D interactive presentations that showcase multiple variations of an architectural scene or product based on properties, materials, visibility, ambience, transform, and/or camera position. You can apply configurations to any media you create and view them in Fullscreen mode (F12) or in Local or Cloud Presentations.
When you are ready to export the media, you can use the default export settings or customize them according to your needs. Images, panoramas, videos, and sequences each have their own global and individual export settings. You define global export settings (such as file format and motion blur) in the Export panel, and they apply by media type. You can also define individual export settings (such as output size) for each image, panorama, video, or sequence.
You can export the final rendered media locally to your computer, or share it with others by adding it to a Local Presentation, or to a Cloud Presentation or Panorama Set on Twinmotion Cloud. Optionally, you can also isolate and export only certain elements or objects in the scene using render layers or cryptomattes to further finetune them in post-production and compositing workflows.
How It Works
Create the images, videos, sequences, and/or panoramas. For more information and instructions on how to create them, see Images and Panoramas, Videos, and Sequences.
Enhance the media and create ambience using the environment, camera, rendering, and special effects settings. For more information, see Ambience Settings.
To show the construction stages of a project or scene variations, create and apply phasings or view sets, or use configurations to create real-time 3D interactive presentations based on various aspects of the scene. For more information, see Phasing and View Sets and Configurations.
Configure the export settings of the media. For more information, see Export Settings for Images and Panoramas and Export Settings for Videos.
Export the final rendered media locally to your computer, in a Local Presentation, or to a Cloud Presentation or Panorama Set on Twinmotion Cloud. For more information, see Exporting Media Locally, Presentations, Local Presentations, Panorama Sets, and Twinmotion Cloud.
Optionally, you can also use render layers or cryptomattes to isolate and export only certain elements in the scene for use in post-production and compositing software. For more information, see Render Layers and Cryptomattes.
