The Head Transform tool reshapes large regions of your character's face at once. Unlike the Head Sculpt tool, which you can use to adjust precise facial regions, the Transform tool works over a larger grouping, so you can make substantial changes quickly.
The tool is available from the Head and Body tool category in MetaHuman Creator.
Using the Tool
When you open the tool, the viewport displays a series of transform markers on your character.
The general workflow for using the tool is as follows:
Drag any marker to adjust as a facial feature.
Swap between transform gizmos for further refinement.
As you drag markers, the system that drives MetaHuman sculpting finds the closest combination of real human facial features scanned into the MetaHuman database and approximates the shape you want.
By default, transform changes are symmetrical. To make non-symmetrical changes, uncheck Symmetric Manipulation.

Working with Transform Markers
The viewport displays the transform markers when the tool is active. Drag a marker to move its region of the face. Because each marker influences a group of underlying markers, a single drag produces a broad change rather than a localized one.
Keep Symmetric Manipulation enabled when you want both sides of the face to update together. Disable it when you need to introduce or preserve asymmetry.
Changing the Transform Gizmo
The tool includes transform gizmos that appear over the selected marker to adjust the relative position of the facial region.
The default gizmo works in screen space. It moves the markers in a screen plane projected onto the 3D world from the current camera angle. This provides transform movement similar to modeling applications such as Maya. To change this behavior, select an alternative gizmo.
The additional gizmos are translation, rotation, and uniform scale.
Workflow Tips
Start with broad transform moves to establish the overall proportions of the face. Then switch to the
Tool Settings
The Head Transform panel groups its settings under Manipulator and Head Parameters, with a gizmo toolbar at the top.
Manipulator
These settings control how the manipulator behaves and whether changes apply symmetrically across the face.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
Size | Scales the on-screen size of the manipulator controls so you can click them precisely. Default 1.0. |
Speed | Sets how quickly a manipulator responds as you drag it. Default 0.2. |
Symmetric Manipulation | Applies your changes symmetrically across both sides of the face. Enabled by default. Uncheck to make non-symmetrical changes. |
Hide While Dragging | Hides the manipulator controls while you drag so you can see the result unobstructed. Enabled by default. |
When you enable Symmetric Manipulation on asymmetric facial features, the asymmetry is lost in regions where you then use the transform marker to make a transformation.
Head Parameters
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
Global Delta | Sets the overall strength of the applied change (the vertex delta) across the head. Default 1.0. |
Head Scale | Scales the overall size of the head. Default 1.0. |
Reset Head Parameters | Reverts the head parameters to their default values. |
Align Neck to Body | Realigns the neck to the body to keep a seamless transition after you edit the head. |
Transform Gizmo
The gizmo determines how a selected transform marker moves in the viewport. Select the gizmo that matches the change you want to make.
| Gizmo | Description |
|---|---|
Translate | Moves the transform marker to reposition the associated facial region. |
Rotate | Rotates the transform marker to reorient the associated facial region. |
Uniform Scale | Scales the associated facial region uniformly. |
