For motion capture, the performer's attire affects processing time and results. This page lists the appearance parameters for MetaHuman Animator and the factors that may affect the quality of the output animation.
For the best results, follow these guidelines:
Limited facial hair only (for example, 1–2 days stubble growth).
No glasses or sunglasses.
Nothing should occlude facial features (for example, hats, long hair, face masks, or hands).
Anything occluding the face will degrade results.
No heavy makeup or face paint.
No facial piercings.
Clothes that contrast against the ground and background.
Facial tracking markers are not necessary. However, if using infrared (IR) lighting with a stereo head-mounted camera (HMC) or capturing an actor with perfect skin, then some black or IR-absorbing dusting may help.
The system is designed to work with adult faces only.
