The Upgrade MetaHuman DNA utility tool can be used to upgrade an existing MetaHuman DNA file to the latest rig definition and DNA file format. This is a necessary step before using a DNA file downloaded from the MetaHuman Creator web application using Quixel Bridge, or a DNA file edited using the DNA Calibration repository, with Expression Editor.

Select Upgrade MetaHuman DNA from the Tools menu in Expression Editor.
Set the Source MetaHuman DNA file. This should be a DNA file (from an Unreal Engine 5.5 character) downloaded from the MetaHuman Creator web application using Quixel Bridge, or a DNA file edited using the DNA Calibration repository.
Set the Target MetaHuman DNA file for the upgraded file. Once upgraded, this DNA file can be used with Expression Editor, or MetaHuman Creator in Unreal Engine.
Click Upgrade.
