Each Point Cloud file that is imported into Twinmotion appears as an icon in the Import dock.
From the Import dock, you can:
Reimport a Point Cloud file into Twinmotion
Replace an existing Point Cloud file with another one
Delete Point Cloud files
Reimporting a Point Cloud into Twinmotion
If a Point Cloud file you are working with in Twinmotion has been updated or modified outside of Twinmotion, you can reimport a new version of it in Twinmotion. The new Point Cloud file will be placed in the scene in the same position as the previous one.
In the Dock menu, click the Import icon to open the Import dock.
In the Import dock, hover over the icon of the Point Cloud until the Reimport item icon appears.
Click the Reimport item icon.
Replacing a Point Cloud in Twinmotion
In the Dock menu, click the Import icon to open the Import dock.
In the Import dock, hover over the icon of the Point Cloud.
Click the ellipsis (...) that appears above the icon.
In the menu, select Reimport with new file.
In the Open File window, select the Point Cloud file that you want to import.
Click Open.
The Reimporting Point Cloud window appears and shows the progress of the reimport process.
When the window closes, the previous Point Cloud file is replaced with the new version.
Deleting Point Cloud Files
When a Point Cloud file is deleted from the Import dock, it remains as an object in the Viewport and the Scene graph, but cannot be reimported or replaced from the Import dock. To remove a Point Cloud from the Scene graph, right-click on it in the Scene graph and select Delete.
In the Dock menu, click the Import icon to open the Import dock.
In the Import dock, hover over the icon of the Point Cloud.
Click the ellipsis (...) that appears above the icon.
In the menu, select Delete.
