Scaler Tool

With the Scaler tool, you can add animated scaling effects to the objects in your Twinmotion scenes. Scalers use procedural scaling to add rich and expressive motion to your scenes, by growing, shrinking, and pulsing objects dynamically over time.

This page provides a brief overview of the Scaler tool, a component of the Animator tools. For more information about the Animator tools and how to work with them, see Animator Tools.

The Scaler tool is located in the Tools > Animators > Scalers category in the Twinmotion Library.

The Scalers category also contains a variety of templates with linked objects that demonstrate some of the types of scaling animations you can create. When you use the Scaler tool, these templates are available as customizable presets.

Scaler Tool Presets

The following presets are available for the Scaler tool:

• Bouncy Entrance

• Wave Cascade

• Smooth Grow

• Pop In

• Jelly

• Soft Fade Out

• Dismantle

Each preset animates objects differently based on preconfigured settings, including the origin position, and scale direction (whether the child object scales down from full size to zero, or up from zero to full size). You can use the presets as is, or modify their settings and save them as new presets.

Each new preset you create in the Scalers presets window has its own menu where you can access commands. To open the menu, click the ellipsis (...) that appears when you hover over the thumbnail of a personal preset.

Types of Presets

The following types of scaler presets are available in the Scalers presets window.

Bouncy Entrance

The following table shows the main default settings of the Bouncy Entrance preset.

Wave Cascade

Smooth Grow

Pop In

The following table shows the main default settings of the Pop In preset.

Jelly
