Settings
The application settings allow users to customize their scanning experience, access customer support resources, and review important documents.
1 | Scanning Mode | Select the scanning mode option. |
2 | Data usage | Change the data usage. |
3 | Automatic Object Masking | Toggle automatic object masking. When enabled, the object will be detected and the background ignored. |
4 | Helpful resources | Explore our support resources, including video tutorials, documentation, and community forums on the Epic Developer Community. |
5 | Support and share | Let us know what you think about RealityScan Mobile by submitting feedback or rating us in the App Store, or share your results with friends. |
6 | Epic Games Account | Manage your Epic Games Account. |
7 | Legal information | Access our EULA, Privacy Policy, and Third-Party Notices. |
8 | Allow access to data | Allow anonymous machine learning use of the data from your projects. |
9 | Sign out | Sign out of your account. |
Scanning Mode
Choose a scanning mode based on your skills and preferences.
In Augmented Reality mode, you’ll follow the standard workflow, with AR guidance and a real-time preview of the point cloud.
For greater flexibility with camera control, select Camera Control mode to access tools for focus, white balance, exposure, and flash. Note that this mode does not include AR guidance or a real-time preview of the point cloud.
If you prefer not to use the same mode each time, select "Always Ask" to choose the scanning mode when starting a new project.
Data Usage
You can change the data usage and opt to analyze your images and process your projects only when you are connected to the selected internet connection.
