Background
Characters imported from the MetaHuman Creator web application into Unreal Engine 5.6 or later using Quixel Bridge might have some unexpected transforms, as demonstrated in the image below.
Characters migrated to MetaHuman Creator in Unreal Engine using Quixel Bridge are not affected by this problem.
Updating Retarget Source Asset in Each Pose Asset
This problem can be resolved by updating the Retarget Source Asset in each Pose Asset found in the Post Process Animation Blueprint.
Find the Post Process Animation Blueprint for the affected character. This can be done by searching for ‘Post Process’ in the Skeletal Mesh asset, and showing the Blueprint in the Content Browser.
Open the Blueprint editor and show the AnimGraph.
Find the Pose Asset nodes. In the settings for each Pose Asset, click on Update next to the Retarget Source Asset parameter.
After updating the Retarget Source Asset, the character should function as expected.
