Feature and list your Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) projects as part of your Discord promotion strategy.
Increase your island’s discoverability among players by providing a way for players to quickly access your promoted content.

Discord Slash Commands
Build an island carousel, set the language for your Discord server, and more, using slash commands.
Slash commands always begin with a forward slash (/).
Island Commands
Island commands quickly navigate to islands listed on the island carousel and provide specific administrative functionality for the Discord server.
The following commands are available to all Discord users:
/listislands — Opens the island carousel with the current list of added islands.
/getrandomisland — Pulls information about a random island that has been added to the island carousel.
/islandinfo — A general command to get information about a specific island.
The slash commands below can only be used by someone who is listed as an admin.
/addisland — Adds an island to the island carousel.
/removeisland — Removes an island from the island carousel.
/addfeaturedisland — Moves an island to the first page of the island carousel.
/islandbotsettings — Displays a series of buttons. Server language and Disable bot response are only available to someone with admin privileges. The other buttons are available to all Discord users.
Server Languages
Server language commands affect the user interactions on the Discord server. Anyone with admin privileges can type /islandbotsettings, then select Server languages to set the language preferences for user posts and messages.
/islandinfo, /getrandomisland — Determines the language for responses to user posting codes.
/listislands, /islandbotsettings — Determines the language for targeted response messages that only users can see.
/createislandchannel — Sets specific parameters for selecting the language for the post.
The language default is set to English.
Channel Greeting Post
Help users understand the island bot features and functions with a channel greeting post. Follow the steps below to create a channel greeting post:
Creating a channel greeting post is not mandatory.
From Discord, create a new channel for the bot introduction post.
This channel cannot be set up for interactions, it can only be used as the greeting post.
In your Discord channel, use the slash command /createislandchannel in the message field.
Select the Fortnite Bot’s slash command prompt.
Click channel, then language to open the respective menus and make a selection.
Once the greeting post is set up, it displays when users open the channel. Visit your channel to see the greeting.
Click More Info to open the Fortnite Island Bot page that features the slash command list and bot details.
Troubleshooting the Greeting Post
If you tried to create the greeting post in a channel that has interactions turned on, you’ll run into channel permission issues with the island bot. Discord displays an issues window with steps to prepare a channel for a greeting post.
Click Edit Channel or the settings icon next to the channel name.
The channel options menu opens.
Select Permissions.
From the Advanced permissions panel, select the plus (+) icon next to Roles/Members.
Not removing the channel’s chat permissions from @everyone results in an error message. While you’re in the Advanced permissions, take the time to remove all text and message permissions from everyone on the server.
Select the Fortnite Island Bot to add it to the list, then add the bot Send Messages permissions.
Click Esc to leave the Advanced permissions page and return to your channel. The settings you changed are automatically saved.
Once the Fortnite Island Bot is added to the permission list, the greeting post works with the selected channel.
