Each tutorial provides step-by-step guidance on how to use Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Verse to create a project that results in a complete island experience.
Each one explores the mechanics for a specific game mode, and shows you how to combine and modify various assets directly in UEFN.
From UEFN, you can playtest your project directly in a Creative client, and live edit as you go.
Accessibility starts at the design phase. To avoid creating content that can lead to a photosensitive reaction, please use the following guidelines:
-
Ensure that no component of any content flashes more than three times in any 1-second interval. This is no more than 6 transitions from light to dark or dark to light in a 1-second interval.
-
Keep any flashing areas small; generally to an area less than 25% of 10 degrees of visual field. A 10 degree visual field on a 1024 X 768 display that is 15-17 inches diagonally and viewed at 22-26 inches away is 341 X 256 pixels. Thus, the combined area of flashes occurring concurrently should occupy no more than a total of one quarter of any 341 X 256 pixel rectangles anywhere on the displayed screen area when the content is viewed at 1024 x 768 pixels.
-
Measure the flashes, strobing, or pulsing sections using online tools.
