Presentations that are created in Twinmotion can be uploaded to Twinmotion Cloud, but you can also export them locally to your computer. Presentations that are exported locally are referred to as Local Presentations, and are packaged inside the Twinmotion Presenter.
The Presenter is a lightweight version of Twinmotion that can contain one or more Presentations. It can be launched from any computer to create a virtual tour of your project that you can share with your collaborators.
Viewing Presentations locally can be convenient if you or your collaborators do not have internet access to view them on Twinmotion Cloud, or if you want to include larger media files in your Presentations; there are no limitations to the size of the files that you can export when creating a Presenter.
When you create a Local Presentation on a Windows machine, an executable file (.exe) is created, along with folders that contain related assets such as textures, materials, and media. When you create a Local Presentation on a macOS machine, only an executable file (.app) is created; the Presentation’s assets are bundled with the executable file.
Local Presentations are operating system (OS) dependent. When they are created on a Windows machine, they can only be viewed on computers running the Windows operating system. Likewise, if you create Local Presentations on macOS, they can only be viewed on macOS.
Opening the executable file automatically launches the Presentation(s) in the Presenter, from which scenes can be explored interactively using the same input and navigation options that are available in Twinmotion. You can move around and interact with scenes using the same input devices (keyboard and mouse, trackpad, 3DConnexion SpaceMouse, touchscreen), select the navigation mode from Twinmotion or another CAD or BIM software, and set viewing options in the View menu.
Local Presentations can also be viewed in an immersive manner by using a Virtual Reality (VR) headset and enabling the Twinmotion VR mode. For more information, refer to Viewing Content in Virtual Reality.
