What’s New in 2024.1.1
Wind for Fabric Material
Added a Wind parameter in the Fabric material that simulates wind animation on draped fabric such as curtains.
Improved Wind for Foliage Material
Improved the animation of the wind on the Foliage material by adding a Sway parameter in the Properties panel for trees and bushes.
Sway is disabled if the Wind parameter is disabled.
All vegetation that uses the Foliage material benefits from this improvement, including Twinmotion vegetation and Quixel Megascans 3D plants.
Randomize UV
We added a Randomize UV parameter on selected materials which randomizes the UV tiling to break the repetition of a material and give it a more natural aspect. We recommend using it for organic ground materials such as soil, grass, and pebbles.
Camera Roll Adjustment for Images
We have added a camera roll feature in the Properties panel to enhance media images. This feature is already present for media sequence keyframes. With this feature, you can precisely manipulate the camera's perspective by rotating the local X-axis. Note that when a roll angle is applied to an image, navigating in the Viewport resets the camera horizontally.
Precise Editing in Sequences
We have added usability enhancements for creating sequences. The following new features provide more direct control and precise editing abilities:
You can now snap animation tracks and camera parts.
Snapping is supported only for tracks and parts that are visible in the dock.
Added a handle on parts to modify part duration.
Added a threshold to control the horizontal movement of animation tracks.
New shortcuts:
To zoom the timeline, press the Ctrl key and rotate the wheel button forward or backward.
To scroll along the timeline, press the Shift key and rotate the wheel button forward or backward.
Enhanced Match Sun to HDRI Feature
We now have rendering parity between the Standard (raster) and Path tracer rendering modes when an HDRI environment is used. When Match sun to HDRI (formerly named Lock sun to HDRI) is enabled, sun intensity, color and size are now extracted from the HDRI to set up the sun parameters.
Limitations
Sun settings are applied only on newly added HDRIs or newly downloaded HDRIs from the Twinmotion Library.
Designed to work with daytime HDRIs. Enabling this feature on other HDRIs (such as night or studio HDRIs) may lead to unreliable sun settings.
Performance Statistics
The Statistics panel has been improved with additional information and can now be docked on the right side of the Library, providing more workspace in the panel.
New Trees in the Twinmotion Library
A collection of 62 photorealistic growable tree species has been added to the Twinmotion Cloud Library. These trees are from different parts of the world, including: North America (11 species), Japan (9 species), Oceania (14 species), tropical regions (11 species), and Europe (17 species). Each tree comes in three versions (young, adult, and old), bringing the total number of unique trees to 186. These trees are also available in the Unreal Engine Marketplace in the Trees Megapack 1 collection.
Limitation
New trees are not supported in projects exported to Twinmotion Cloud until further notice.

Known Bugs and Limitations Affecting 2024.1.1
Animation
TM-16082 - Random crash occurs when exiting Media mode or exporting media.
TM-16069 - When Animated humans are rotated, their Pixels size changes in the XYZ panel.
TM-16386 - The camera does not follow the correct path between keyframes.
Content and Library
TM-16387 - The props of Animated characters appear to float near them.
Workaround: Select all instances of the affected character and in the Scenegraph use the Replace object command to replace them with a new version of the same character.
Core
TM-16035 - Crash when deleting an object from grouped objects and modifying the rest of them.
TM-16204 - In certain circumstances, Fullscreen mode cannot be exited using the Fullscreen mode icon in the Top bar of the Twinmotion user interface.
Workaround: Pressing the Windows logo key with the Left or Right Arrow key may resolve the issue.
TM-16482 - Twinmotion processes may not fully close on MacOS after exiting the program.
Workaround: Force Quit the application.
Import and Interoperability
TM-16073 - Material RGB values are incorrect on certain materials in SketchUp files imported with Datasmith.
Workaround: Import the SKP file directly as geometry.
TM-16144 - Incorrect UVs in FBX files imported using the Collapse by material option.
Workaround: Apply a texture to the model prior to importing it into Twinmotion or import the model using the Keep hierarchy or Collapse all modes.
