Material conflicts can occur in the following instances:
When you import files into Twinmotion.
When you merge two Twinmotion files together.
When you download a Cloud asset from the Library.
When a material in a Twinmotion scene or in the Materials dock has the same name as a material in a file you are importing, merging, or downloading, the Material Conflict dialog box appears. In the example below, the Tree1.obj
file and Twinmotion both contain a material named Leaves.002.

To resolve material conflicts, select one of the following options:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Use scene material | Replaces the material used in the file with the material used in Twinmotion. |
Use imported material | Replaces the material in Twinmotion with the material used in the file. |
Keep both | Uses the material in the imported file for the newly imported content, but also keeps the original material in Twinmotion. The original material and the newly imported material have the same name in Twinmotion. To see which material an object is using, open the Materials dock, then with the Material picker select the material on the object; the material that is used on the object is highlighted in the Materials dock. |
Apply to all | Applies the option you choose every time a material conflict is detected between the file and Twinmotion. |
