The Media preview window is a stand-alone additional window you can use to fine-tune and frame the images, videos, panoramas, and sequences you create in Twinmotion. You can use it with media rendered in both Real time (Standard and Lumen) and Path tracer mode.
When you open the Media preview window, the contents of the window are identical to the thumbnail that is selected in the Media dock.
Any changes you make to the scene in the Viewport are reflected in the Media preview window, and are only applied to the media when you decide to by clicking the Refresh icon on the thumbnail.
With this workflow you can experiment and make changes in a non-destructive manner.
Using the Media Preview Window
The Media preview window can be used in two ways:
You can navigate anywhere in the scene (even areas not visible or accessible in the media), zoom in and out, add, move, or remove objects, and see the results in real-time in the Media preview window. For information about how to navigate in the Viewport, see Navigating in the Viewport.
When you open the Media preview window, you can manipulate a camera object that appears in the Viewport. The Media preview window shows you what the camera is "seeing" or pointing towards. You can move and rotate the camera object and see the results in real-time through the camera's perspective in the Media preview window.
When previewing sequences, the path of the camera is also visible in the Viewport. For more information about sequences, see Sequences.
Location of the Media Preview Window
By default, the Media preview window is locked in place and overlaid on the lower right corner of the Viewport. You can unlock it by clicking the Locked icon in the Media preview window.
Once unlocked, you can resize and move the Media preview window around on the screen, or even onto a secondary screen.
