Each point cloud file imported into Twinmotion appears in the Import dock.
Point cloud file in the Import dock.
From the Import dock, you can:
Select all imported objects in the point cloud.
Reimport a new point cloud.
Update the point cloud.
Delete the point cloud.
Option | Description |

Select all imported objects | Selects the contents of the entire point cloud file in the Viewport and Scene graph. |
Reimport with new file | Replaces the existing imported point cloud file with another one. Twinmotion will place the file in the scene in the same position as the previous one. For more information, refer to Updating Point Cloud Files. |
Refresh icon | Updates the imported point cloud file with any changes you made in the source file. For more information, refer to Updating Point Cloud Files. |
Delete | Deletes the file from the Import dock. For more information, refer to Deleting Point Cloud Files. |
Updating Point Cloud Files
If you updated or modified a point cloud file you are working with outside of Twinmotion, you can update it in Twinmotion by either refreshing or replacing the file in Twinmotion.
In the Footer, click the Import icon to open the Import dock.
If the source file name and location has not changed, click the Refresh icon that appears above the point cloud file.
If the file name and / or location has changed, you need to reimport the file.
In the Import dock, click the ellipsis (...) that appears above the point cloud file.
In the menu, select Reimport with new file.
In the window that opens, select the new point cloud file, and click Open.
Deleting Point Cloud Files
In the Dock menu, click the Import icon to open the __Import __dock.
In the Import dock, hover over the icon of the point cloud.
Click the ellipsis (...) that appears above the point cloud file.
In the menu, select Delete.
When a point cloud file is deleted from the Import dock, it remains as an object in the Viewport and the Scene graph, but cannot be reimported or replaced from the Import dock. To remove a point cloud from the Scene graph, right-click on it in the Viewport and Scene graph and select Delete.
