Installing the Datasmith Plugin for SketchUp Pro on Windows

This page explains how to install and remove the Datasmith Exporter plugin for SketchUp Pro on Windows.

Installing the Plugin

1. Download the Datasmith Exporter plugin for SketchUp Pro. You can access the plugin from:

   • The Twinmotion website.

   • The Supported Design Applications for Datasmith documentation page.

   • The Plugins tab in the Twinmotion Home panel.

2. Go to the location on your machine where the file was downloaded and double-click the UnrealDatasmithSketchUpExporter_xx.msi file to open the Setup Wizard.

   

3. Click Next.

   The End User License Agreement appears.

   

4. To accept the terms and agreements, check the I accept the terms in the License Agreement checkbox, and click Next.

   

5. The Setup Wizard detects which version of SketchUp Pro is installed on your machine and automatically selects it. You can also select any other version of SketchUp Pro that is installed on your machine that you want to use with the Datasmith Exporter Plugin. Click Install to start the installation process.

   

6. Once the plugin is installed, click Finish to close the Setup Wizard.

   

When you open a project in SketchUp Pro, the Datasmith toolbar appears automatically. You can also access the Datasmith commands in the menu by going to Extensions > Datasmith.

Removing the Plugin

To remove the plugin, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

1. On the taskbar, type Add or Remove Programs in the search box and select it from the results.

2. In the list of programs, locate and select Unreal Datasmith Exporter for SketchUp Pro.

3. Click Uninstall.

Method 2

1. On the taskbar, type Control Panel in the search box and select it from the results.

2. In the Control Panel, select Programs, and then Programs and Features.

3. In the list of programs, locate and right-click Unreal Datasmith Exporter for SketchUp Pro.

4. Click Uninstall.
