Known Issues
UI may flicker or go black.
Windows may appear behind other windows.
Some buttons do not respond.
HTML dialogs such as the Map Wizard may not render.
Some UI elements may freeze during GPU compute.
Exporting meshes with displacement maps may fail.
Limitations
GPU acceleration is fully supported on Linux when the underlying environment provides proper GPU passthrough.
Environments such as WSL2, VirtualBox, VMware, and other traditional virtualization platforms typically do not expose full NVIDIA GPU compute, Vulkan, or CUDA support to guest systems. As a result, RealityScan cannot access the GPU in these environments.
This limitation is due to the virtualization layers, not RealityScan.
For virtualized or containerized deployments requiring GPU compute, Docker with NVIDIA Container Toolkit is the recommended and supported solution, as it enables correct GPU passthrough.
UI usage is limited. See known issues.
