If you made changes to a MetaHuman in MetaHuman Creator, and you are already using that MetaHuman in an Unreal Engine project, you need to overwrite their Assets to import their changes. You can do this from Quixel Bridge.
Re-exporting a MetaHuman from Bridge overrides their Assets into your project. All changes you made to the MetaHuman will be lost.
To re-export a MetaHuman to your project, follow these steps:
In Unreal Engine, close all Levels and Level Sequences that use the MetaHuman you want to overwrite.
If you try to overwrite a MetaHuman that is currently referenced in Sequencer, Unreal Engine will crash. This is a known issue that will be fixed in a future version of MetaHumans.
In Bridge, navigate to the MetaHuman you want to re-export, and then click their tile. This opens an information panel on the right.
Update the MetaHuman's downloaded Assets. For MetaHumans that were modified in MetaHuman Creator since the last time they were downloaded to this machine, the Download button will be replaced by an Update button. Click this button to generate and download the MetaHuman's Assets with the latest changes.
After the download completes, click the Add button.
Save your project, and then restart Unreal Engine.
