While you can use the MetaHuman plugin on systems that don’t meet these hardware and software requirements, we cannot guarantee your results.
Storage
iPhone footage with video quality set to High @60 fps: Approx 800 MB per minute of footage
Stereo footage at @60FPS at 1440x1920 resolution: Approx 45 GB per minute of footage
Capture Devices
iPhone
iPhone 12 or newer, 12 recommended.
The iPhone X has a compatible depth sensor, but it’s computationally not performant enough for sustained shooting.
Several Apple iPad models also have a depth sensor, but they aren’t tested and we can’t recommend using them. If you wish to use the above devices you’ll have to find out to what iPhone model is equivalent and configure Data accordingly, but they remain untested and unsupported devices.
We support and test only iPhone devices, on models from the 12 on.
Most timecode over audio BlueTooth devices will generate viable timecode for the footage.
Stereo Camera Couples
Any vertically aligned stereo couple that can be calibrated with our tools should work. This kind of gear is varied and not readily available, and sometimes bespoke, therefore we can’t recommend specific models, nor prescribe or limit what can be used.
Visible spectrum and infrared are both supported.
