The Monetization page on the Creator Portal displays account-wide data on both engagement payouts (on the Engagement tab) and payouts from in-island transactions (on the In-Island Transactions tab).
From the main Creator Portal dashboard, click Monetization in the navigation menu to open the Monetization page. The page has two tabs:
Engagement
In-Island Transactions
Engagement Tab
The Engagement tab contains your Monthly Engagement Payout and Daily Payout and Estimates.
Monthly Engagement Payout
For the monthly payout chart, you can select or deselect specific islands you have published under Your Islands. The islands are color-coded in the chart to distinguish which islands are generating the highest payouts.
You can display your total payout across all your islands, and filter by the date range or particular islands.
Engagement payouts are calculated monthly and will be posted thirty days after the close of the monthly period. Engagement payouts displayed in Creator Portal do not reflect any cancelled or returned purchases that are part of your user acquisition rewards. When a purchase is cancelled or returned to a player, the value of the purchases will be deducted from your next monthly payout.
Daily Payouts and Estimates
The Daily Payouts and Estimates chart can show both Actual payouts and Estimated Payout Ranges, depending on the date range selected.
Estimates are not a guarantee of any final payout amount and are subject to change.
Some data may take several days to process, so estimates for the most recent seven days are less precise than estimates further in the past. Additionally, multiple factors can make this data inaccurate, including but not limited to your Creator eligibility status, receiving a monetization ban, cancelled or returned purchases, or any other factors leading to payout disruption. Estimated data may still appear here even if your island or account is ineligible to receive a payout.
Remember, payouts only happen once you've hit the $100 (USD) minimum threshold within a 12 month window (read the Fortnite Developer Terms). If you have transferred island ownership, you will not see estimates or received payout data for days where you were not the owner.
In-Island Transactions Tab
The charts on the In-Island Transactions tab show information about any in-island transactions you have in your published islands. For more information on including in-island transactions in your islands, see In-Island Transactions Overview.
Monthly In-Island Transaction Payouts
The Monthly in-island transaction payouts chart shows your monthly payment for in-island sales. Payouts are determined in part by the calculated value of V-Bucks during the target period; the process for this is described in more detail in the How Payouts for In-Island Transactions Are Calculated section on this page. Detailed monthly payment data is available one month after the month of sale.
Daily In-Island Transaction Payouts and Estimates
The Daily in-island transaction payouts and estimates chart shows the daily transaction payouts, as well as estimated payments excluding any effect from returns.
Blue bars show how a particular day contributed to the monthly payout amount. Payouts are generally posted 30 days after the end of the applicable month. Gray bars show days with estimated payouts, and the white brackets show the estimated payout range. Estimates are calculated based on the US dollar value of V-Bucks in preceding months, and are subject to variation in FX and regional pricing, among other factors. To learn more about how the value of V-Bucks sales on your island is calculated, see How Payouts for In-Island Transactions Are Calculated. Estimated data may still appear here even if your island or account is ineligible to receive a payout.
When a purchase is returned to a player, the value of returned purchases will be deducted from your next monthly payout. The estimated value of returns is shown above the chart.
Total Offers Sold
The Total offers sold chart shows the total number of offers purchased by players on each day, over the time period you set in the Dates range.
Unique Buyers
The Unique buyers chart shows the number of individual players who have made at least one purchase across any of your islands that have in-island transactions.
How Payouts for In-Island Transactions Are Calculated
Epic manages and distributes payouts for in-island transactions. You ordinarily earn 50% of the V-Bucks value from sales on your islands, but from January 2026 through the end of 2026, you will earn 100%.
To determine the V-Bucks value in US dollars in a given month, Epic takes all customer real-money spending to purchase V-Bucks (converted to US dollars), subtracts platform and store fees (ranging from 12% on Epic Games Store to 30% on current consoles), and divides it by the total V-Bucks spent by players.
This value fluctuates over time based on a few factors, including the following:
Discounted or Earned V-Bucks: Players purchase and earn V-Bucks through things like Crew memberships and Battle Pass. This shifts the average value of V-Bucks in circulation.
Purchase Mix: The cost of a V-Buck depends on which bundle a player buys.
Foreign Exchange (FX) and Regional Pricing: Changes in FX and regional pricing may also cause fluctuations.
Fortnite's average platform and store fees are currently 26% (with specific fees ranging from 12% on the Epic Games Store to 30% on console platforms).
So for example, the normal rate of 50% of V-Bucks value translates to approximately 37% of player spending, and the temporary rate of 100% of V-Bucks value translates to approximately 74% of player spending.
