Fortnite is a sandbox game where you can create and save your island experience using the Creative toolset. You can use Fortnite’s growing library of assets to place or build structures, add landscaping and other props to set the environment. Many of these assets will already be familiar to you from other Fortnite games, but how you use them is what makes your island unique.
You can add devices to modify the player experience and create interesting gameplay. In other words, you can build your own game. With Fortnite, you can be a game designer — all the tools you need are right there in your Creative toolset.
The best part is that, once you’ve created your island, you can invite friends to play, then use their feedback to make it even better!
But before any of this can happen, you’ll need to make sure that:
- Your device can run Fortnite.
- You have an Epic Games account.
- You’ve downloaded the Epic Games launcher.
