How to register for KWS, set up your KWS organization, and invite colleagues to join.

Register with KWS

There are two ways to register to use KWS:

  • You can register directly as the first KWS user for your organization. A new KWS organization is created using your user name, and you are automatically set as an admin user with full rights on this new organization. Within the Developer Portal, you can invite colleagues to join your organization.

  • By invitation. If you are invited to KWS by an admin user, you will receive an email with a link to join KWS. Your account is linked to the admin user's organization with the role(s) assigned by them in the invitation.

Set up your organization

  1. In the KWS Developer Portal, click the Organization > Settings tab. If you are an admin user logging in to the Developer Portal for the first time, your organization will be set to ‘My Team' and your user name. By default, your organization is initially a ‘sole individual' organization:

  2. Edit the Organization name as required.

  3. If you are acting on behalf of a business entity, and you want to invite colleagues to your KWS organization, click Switch to corporation.

    NOTE: Once you have switched to a corporation, you cannot switch back.

    When you switch to a corporation, the organization details become available for editing:

  4. Enter your organization's details and click Save changes.

Set up your team

Invite a colleague to KWS

If you are an admin user, and your KWS excluded, organization is a corporation, you can invite colleagues to join your excluded, organization, as follows:

  1. In the KWS Developer Portal, click the Organization > Team tab and then click Invite:

  2. In the pop-up dialog, enter the colleague's details:

    • Full name. The invitee's name.

    • Email. The invitee's email address. An email with a link to register will be sent to this address.

    • Role. Select one of the following from the dropdown menu:

      • Organization Admin (has access to all products)

      • Organization Developer (has access to selected products only)

    • Product access. When setting up a user with the ‘Organization Developer' role, select the products that they can access from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click Send invite. An email is sent to the specified email address with a link to sign up:

  4. The invited user is displayed in the Invite Pending list until they have successfully registered with KWS. Click the ‘…' button to resend the email or cancel the invitation:

Edit or delete a KWS account

In the Organization > Team tab, click ‘...' to edit or delete a team member's account:
