Cloud Save Setup and Testing

Enabling cloud save and testing before launch

The Cloud Save feature allows users to save their games and then continue with their progress whenever and wherever they play next. This guide will help you set up Cloud Save and test to verify it is working for your game.

Enable Cloud Save on Your Offer

Cloud Save is enabled at the Product Offer level, within Artifact settings.

  1. Go to Product > Offers page > Offer > [...] > Edit Offer > Optional Information > Cloud Save > Enable Cloud Save.

  2. Turn on the Enable Cloud Save toggle.

  3. Provide Locations for PC and MacOS where games will be saved locally on a user's device.

  4. Files to Sync — Enter data to customize file quotas and sync rules for cloud saves.

Enable Cloud Save on the Launcher

Because Cloud Save is an opt-in feature for users, you first need to enable it on your Epic Games Launcher during the silent release. Also refer to the Epic Games online support article, How do I enable Cloud Save in the Epic Games Launcher?

Cloud Save is typically enabled by default for your installed game. However, it is best to make sure it is on before testing by completing the following steps.

  1. In the Epic Games Launcher, go to the installed game and click the [...] menu to open the settings menu.
