How to configure your basic product and PV service settings in the Developer Portal.

Set up your privacy policy and agree to the service T&Cs

  1. In the Dashboard, click on the required product to open the View product settings and edit screen. Note that you are now working in the Test environment:

  1. Review the Product name. This is the name that KWS displays in the PV service webviews and emails to parents. It can be different from the name that you used to create the product.

    Restrictions:

    • No inappropriate words.
    • No blatant plagiarism or copyright violation.
  2. Enter the URL for your Product's privacy policy. KWS displays a link to this URL in the PV service webviews and emails to parents:

Restrictions:

  • The privacy policy must exist at the provided link.
  • The privacy policy must make sense and not be meaningless content.
  1. Read and agree to the terms and conditions, and then click Activate service:

Set up your PV service redirect URL

The Redirect URL setting is optional. If entered, KWS redirects the parent to this URL after they successfully verify their identity. For example, you might wish to redirect the parent to a webpage where they can manage their child’s permissions in your app.

If you do not specify a redirect URL, KWS displays a verification success message within the PV service web page:

Restrictions:

  • The redirect URL must be in this format: https://your.domain.com/your/path
  • A valid web resource must exist at the provided URL.
  • Your redirect URL should not be used to determine the result of the verification. You should use a webhook to determine the result.

NOTE: The information in the redirect URL is not signed and may have been modified by the parent.

Set up your customer support URL

This is the URL for the 'please let us know' link in the verification email to parents:

Restrictions:

  • The customer support/FAQ page must exist at the provided link.
  • The FAQs must make sense and not be meaningless content.
